Frozen Hot Chocolate

Recipe from Ashley Ramey

August 2013

My boyfriend loves his hot chocolates but rarely gets to enjoy them in the summertime. With this recipe it's all about creating something with minimal ingredients but also having the flexibility in making it your own and switching it up from time to time. For example, add a little mint flavouring and you have a Mint Chocolate frozen treat.

  • Prep: 10 min - 15 min
  • Cooking: 15 min
Yields 4
frozen hot chocolate

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup skim milk powder
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa (higher quality cocoa gives a better flavour)
  • 2 tbsp melted chocolate bars (Bakers or your favourite bar)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup 10% cream
  • 3 cups ice
