Across Canada, Cleanfarms is working with dairy farmers to reduce barriers to recycling on-farm plastics. This innovative recycling project helps ensure these agricultural materials are successfully recycled with help from local recycling sites.
Meet the Materials
Bunker covers, silage bags, twine, bale wrap—dairy farmers are collecting these plastics and compressing them, freeing up on-farm storage space and making transporting recyclables easier than ever. These compressed bales of plastic are processed at the recycler and, eventually, turned into new products. Thanks to Cleanfarms, Canadian dairy farmers now have an innovative and convenient solution for reducing plastic waste.
